1. Make sure your water is clean –

Before you have guests over to swim, make sure your pool and spa are ready to go.

First clean all leaves and debris out of the water using a pool net. Secondly, enzyme users should add their normal weekly dose of sanitizer the morning of the party. This will prep your pool for the increase of contaminants brought in by your guests.

Having clean water is extremely important in order to achieve a successful gathering.

Exposing your guests to dirty pool water isn’t good etiquette and it can actually be dangerous.

2. Plan guest accommodations beforehand –

First decide whether your party will be BYOB and potluck style or if you’ll provide food and drinks. Either way, make sure that enough food and drink will be there for everybody. Make a list of what your guests will be bringing to help make sure you have everything you need.

In addition to this, make sure you have ample amounts of space for seating and plan a few games or activities in case the party becomes dull.

A little planning can go a long way in assuring a great summer time party.

3. Make sure your lawn and yard are well kept –

Before your guests arrive, make sure your yard is looking as appealing as possible.Remove all weeds, trim all vegetation and mow your lawn.

Also, make sure you avoid using fertilizer or mulch the day of the party.

You want to make sure your lawn and plants have an opportunity to absorb fertilizer and mulch before they are walked on and exposed to foot traffic that a pool party brings.

Additionally, you don’t want your guests tracking fertilizer into your pool. A clean and presentable yard is very important for a successful pool party.
